aiming for the highest standards
We are opening a junior and senior high school division to complete and more fully develop the Linden Hall educational philosophy of cultivating talent that is rich in individuality, has a global perspective and is capable of action on a world stage.
Furthermore, with English immersion education, we are seeking to further develop and perfect over the 12 years of our integrated curriculum the courses in Environmental Studies that start at elementary school level, and have seen Linden Hall receive ‘Ministry of Education and Science Special Curriculum Exempt School’ designation.
Through innovative programs at the centre of the school syllabus, reasoning and linguistic skills are further polished, and all students receive the necessary education to equip them for international careers, to enter universities not just in Japan but overseas, and to realize the goal of being true, fully-fledged international citizens. It is for this reason that our educational program is implemented through a dual-tutor system, with Japanese and native English-speaking teachers in each class, with eminent experts visiting for special lectures, as is also the case in the elementary division.
The neighboring English Garden, with its thousands of roses, has plants in flower all season, and is a place for students to relax, recuperate and find time for thought.
“Develop the individual, give them confidence, and send them out into the world” is our dream and our task in life.
greetings
With the opening of Linden Hall’s junior and senior high school divisions, the long-awaited fully integrated elementary through high school structure has been completed. The six years that students will spend at junior and senior high school, uninterrupted by entrance examinations, will be an unforgettable experience. An internationally-minded educational environment will open doors to the world’s top universities, and give children a sense of the unlimited possibilities open to them. We wish to impart proper academic achievement, the joy of learning, the ability to express oneself and make decisions, leadership, and an international sense, and send the students out into the world fully equipped.
How to extend each student’s individual talent in an age of internationalization and the rapid spread of information is a critically important theme in education, and the cultivation here in Japan of individuals who can use English freely and thus act on the global stage is essential.
It is with this objective in mind that Linden Hall School’s junior- and senior-high school divisions will open in April 2010, in Dazaifu, Fukuoka.
We are seeking to provide education for high-achievers that will be applicable around the world for the next century, broadly assessing each individual and bringing our their unique strengths. Through the adoption of the English immersion program, the development of computer and presentation skills, and hands-on experience of traditional Japanese culture, it is a special curriculum that respects the dreams and talents of individuals.
We as a school seek to establish a sense of individuality and autonomy in students, working hard to polish their distinctive Japanese identity while at the same time providing an international environment enriched by the presence of top class foreign teaching professionals,
